Understanding Tempest
What it does, who it helps and how the products fit together.
What is Tempest AI?
Tempest connects customer conversations, building knowledge and operational records. Customers get support through Prospero; property teams coordinate the work in Tempest OS, use Miranda for assistance and explore patterns through Property Insights.
Who is Tempest for?
Tempest supports managing agents, residential operators, RTM companies, RMCs and self-managing owners, as well as lettings and estate agencies and hospitality teams. The service is configured around the properties, customers and workflows you manage.
How do Prospero, Tempest OS and Miranda work together?
Prospero handles customer enquiries. Tempest OS connects Cases, communications and operational work. Miranda helps your team find information and progress tasks within their permissions. Property Insights helps managers and directors understand demand, recurring issues and backlogs.
How is this different from a scripted chatbot?
Prospero can use property knowledge and the latest available information in Tempest OS to respond in context and capture work that needs action. Its answers depend on the records, integrations and permissions available; it does not simply repeat a fixed list of responses.
Does Tempest replace our existing property software?
That depends on the agreed scope. Tempest connects resident service, cases and communications; it is not presented as a replacement for every accounting, compliance or property system. Any data connections and migration requirements are reviewed with your team.
02
Calls and customer conversations
Support across channels, with a clear route to your team.
Which channels does Prospero support?
Prospero supports inbound phone calls, WhatsApp and email. Integration into a client’s own app can also be agreed.
Can Prospero answer calls outside office hours?
Yes. Prospero Voice is available 24/7. Out-of-hours cover can include backup from Tempest’s human operators under an agreed service arrangement. Staffing, escalation routes and response times are agreed with each client; an alert is not a guarantee of immediate live transfer.
What happens when a resident needs a person to help?
If Prospero cannot understand the caller, or a person is needed, it creates a ticket and alerts the relevant team in Tempest OS. Emergency matters follow the client’s agreed procedures. If an alert has not been picked up within the agreed SLA, a further alert is sent.
Can Prospero handle new lettings enquiries?
Yes. Prospero can gather applicant details, carry out initial vetting against your agency’s supplied requirements and discuss a guarantor where relevant to those requirements. The enquiry goes to your team for formal review. Your team retains tenancy decisions and exceptions.
Can hotel guests use Prospero?
Yes. Guests can ask about hotel information, room service and other configured services. Prospero answers within the hotel’s supplied knowledge and captures requests for the front desk or relevant team. Availability and fulfilment remain subject to the hotel’s operation.
Can we use our own branding?
Yes. White-label delivery can use the client’s approved service name, tone, greetings and supported visual identity across phone, WhatsApp, email and integrated app channels.
03
Your team and everyday work
From a customer enquiry to the people responsible for the next action.
What can our team do in Tempest OS?
Teams can manage Cases, assign ownership and priorities, instruct third-party contractors, collaborate internally and keep customers informed through Comms. Connected records help the next customer conversation reflect the latest available position.
What can Miranda help a property manager with?
Miranda can understand the page you are viewing, find and explain Case details, navigate to relevant pages and prepare resident updates for review. She can also help with settings and everyday questions, and work with contractor, key and parcel records within your permissions.
Can Miranda tell me what needs my attention today?
Yes. She can look across the Tempest OS areas you have access to and highlight unfinished work, Cases to deal with or chase, outstanding onboarding requests and Campaign drafts that may need attention. Her overview reflects the records available to her, not a guarantee that every issue has been found.
Can our team approve messages before they are sent?
Yes. Tempest OS can be configured to require manager approval for resident case updates. Where automatic case updates are enabled, an additional AI check holds uncertain or sensitive content for review. Miranda cannot send or schedule campaign emails without human approval.
Can Tempest help our team manage rent or service charge arrears?
Yes, where your accounting software provides a supported API and an integration is agreed. Tempest can retrieve the latest available balance and reminder stage, help a property manager prepare an email reminder, and include the management company’s approved payment link. If the resident replies, Prospero can conduct the conversation within the supplied debt policy, document the exchange and discuss and capture a proposed repayment plan for the manager to review. Accounting and payment systems remain the source of truth and process payments; formal notices and debt recovery remain with the management company and its advisers.
How does AI parcel scanning work?
Staff scan the label, review the details extracted by AI and confirm the record. The recipient is notified by email and WhatsApp with a QR code to present at collection.
What does Property Insights show?
Property Insights helps teams explore patterns in operational activity, including recurring repair and estate-service issues, demand and backlogs. It supports management review and planning using the information available; it does not make capital-spending decisions for you.
04
Trust and control
Access, evidence and the decisions that stay with people.
How up to date are the answers?
Prospero and Miranda use the latest available information they can access in Tempest OS and agreed connected systems. Freshness depends on the source and its update process. We do not promise real-time synchronisation for every connection.
How are callers identified and calls documented?
Caller-number matching helps locate a customer record. Sensitive requests require the agreed additional verification. Calls are transcribed, with recording optional at the client’s request; the relevant notice and consent step take place at the start.
What security credentials does Tempest hold?
Tempest AI Limited holds Cyber Essentials certification and is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office. We are working towards ISO 27001 certification and are not yet certified. The Trust & Security page explains the current position and available procurement documentation.
Can staff access every record through Miranda?
No. Miranda works within the user’s permitted access. Giving an instruction in conversation does not grant access to records or authority to carry out restricted actions.
05
Getting started
Agree the scope around your operation before you roll out.
How long does onboarding take?
Think days or weeks rather than months, depending on the workflows you adopt. Simple tasks can take a few days to implement, while more complex integrations may take several weeks. We can start with a focused workflow and expand from there, agreeing the timetable around your requirements, data readiness and the systems involved.
What do we need to prepare for onboarding?
Start with the developments and workflows you want to support. Review resident records, property documents, staff access, communication channels and escalation procedures with the Tempest team. Agree the scope and test representative resident journeys before introducing the service. Existing-system integrations and data migration are reviewed separately.
Which existing systems can Tempest connect to?
Connections depend on supported APIs, authorised access and an agreed implementation. We review your current systems, data and workflows before confirming scope. Do not assume a particular integration is available without checking with the team.
How do we get started, and what does it cost?
Book a demonstration around your portfolio and the workflows you want to improve. We will agree the development scope, resident data, documents, setup, testing and rollout. Pricing is quoted for the agreed service, with onboarding and ongoing fees clearly set out.
Can we hear Prospero before booking a demonstration?
Yes. The Prospero Voice page has short repair and lettings recordings with captions and transcripts. They use demonstration scenarios. Book a demo to explore how the service would work with your own procedures and property information.
